Lake Braddock Boosters Club

The Lake Braddock Athletics Boosters Club (LBABC) is conducting a first of its kind fundraising campaign vital to Lake Braddock's future.  We are beginning a grassroots campaign to raise $1 million for a new turf field for our sports stadium. We need to raise the money by December to have the field for the 2010-2011 season.  We are going to be raising money in a number of ways from collecting donations during Bruin Blast and Back to School Nights to asking for corporate donations.  We are also trying a new approach, we are teaming up with AlumniFidelity to use Web-based fundraising techniques to help raise the money we need.  Check out our site:

We need everyone’s help to make this campaign a success!  The Athletic Boosters is a non-profit organization and we need to raise money to be able to renovate our football stadium into a safe, modern stadium that helps Lake Braddock continue to define athletic excellence at the district, region, and state level.

 

We are reaching out to all Lake Braddock students, parents, alumni, and anyone affiliated with Lake Braddock who are willing to help us raise money for this project.  We have received the endorsement of the school and the PTSA for this project. Our goal is to raise the first $100,000 by the start of school (September 2009) and accelerate the donations through the fall.  There are many ways for everyone to participate.  For example, each alumni class can develop a goal and create their own web pages to draw support from classmates and friends.  The same can be said for each sports team, band organization, or other Lake Braddock activity.  Other contributions will be coming from major gifts and corporate sponsorships -- but only if we can demonstrate significant support at the individual level.  So be sure to donate and start your own fundraising web page when you get an invitation to review the Turf Field web site, or you can opt to make out a check to LBABC and send it to our Turf Field Chairperson, Bob Read, at: 9508 Yardarm Lane, Burke, VA 22015. 

 

The website will guide you through customizing your page with your own text, pictures, video, and more or you can use the words already provided, insert your own picture and

begin your campaign.  This effort can take as little as 5 – 10 minutes.  Then the site will help you send the link to all your fellow classmates, family and friends.
